Another round of Best Song contests wrapped up this Wednesday and Thursday, as Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Duo or Band, and Instrumental contestants were crowned with Best Song titles.
In the 3rd Male Vocalist competition, the British Invasion was in full effect, as Leicester, England native Charlee Drew took the energizing pop pulse his song ‘Sugar Rush’ straight to the top of the charts, defeating the challenge from yet another great song by New York’s ISADAR, entitled ‘To Be In Love’.

The 3rd Female Vocalist contest went to Maryland’s Corrin Campbell, who after coming up short to Natalie Brown in the 1st female vocalist contest with her guitar backed song ‘Always Be’ returned with a soaring piano ballad ‘When It Rains’ that showcased her talented voice and took the title over the fierce competition of Los Angeles based singer Tenaj and her hot dance club anthem ‘What’s Your Status’. A native of Switzerland who speaks fluent German and Croatian, Tenaj scored high numbers for her song, but Corrin Campbell scored even higher marks in this high quality contest. Corrin is now back with her band The Election in the Duo or Band contest with another hot song called ‘Sunbeam’. Can she keep on winning?

Belgian rock band Lewis Cat has kept on winning, as the Best Music Video 4 champion claimed another title, this time in Best Song Duo or Band 3 with their second single to feature on MakeAStar.com, entitled ‘War in the Bathroom II’. The felines scratched and clawed their way past the imposing rock challenge of Dallas, Texas band PANIC, who nearly won the best song prize on the strength of their dramatic hard rock song ‘Paradise’.

The 2nd Best Song Instrumental contest awarded $50 to the earthy drum circle sounds of Richmond Virginia duo Durty Koalas. The positive vibrations of their song ‘Free Smile’ brought out a large number of Durty Koalas fans who helped propel the song past the high judge scores of English multi-instrumentalist and composer Bill Brown and his guitar driven song ‘The Change’.
