Pamela Payge and Link Cornell Win Latest Best Song Contests

The 4th Best Song – Female Vocalist contest ended Thursday, Sept. 17th at noon pacific time here on MakeAStar.com. San Diego chanteuse Pamela Payge and Virginia piano man Link Cornell put their names in lights with victories.

Pamela Payge’s song ‘This Time’ is a tight, exciting, danceable blend of pop and guitar rock with the exotic vocals and look of this southern California girl. ‘This Time’ is a track from Pamela Payge’s recently released debut album 'Love and Hate' which is now available through CD Baby, iTunes, and Amazon. Pamela Payge has a lot of potential for mainstream pop success. Check out the official Pamela Payge website for more music photos and video at www.PamelaPayge.com

The final match was a close battle with a northern California girl named Lisa Gardenia, who brought a laid back groove and soulful voice to her song ‘Nuthinz What It Seemz’. Lisa Gardenia gained a lot of new fans with her Make A Star appearance, but in the end came up just short to Pamela Payge.

Link Cornell triumphed in the first Best Song Male Vocalist contest earlier this summer, and the talented Virginia singer/songwriter returned again to claim another $50 cash prize with his outstanding pop song ‘Always’.

A tight groove reminiscent of classic Motown hits of the 60s and 70s, yet with a beat and hiphop inflections that keep it up to date, this song really shows the talent of Link Cornell at his best. We see no reason why this song shouldn’t be on the top of anyone’s list of songs to buy.

The competition in the final came from the pacific northwest, as Vancouver, Washington singer Tim Current and his song ‘Another Bridge’ gained a lot of fans with this relaxing tune, featuring a nice blend of acoustic guitar backed vocals.
